Glenglassaugh

Founded in 1875
The Glenglassaugh distillery was founded by Col. James Moir in 1875, at the east end of the beautiful Sandend Bay, in the Speyside region of Scotland.

In 1892 Glenglassaugh was purchased by Highland Distillers and continued production until 1986, when it was mothballed.

In 2008 it was bought by the BenRiach distillery with the intention of bringing this brand back to life, and rightfully so.

What does Glenglassaugh taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Glenglassaugh scotch whisky and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
