The GlenDronach Parliament has been waiting 21 years for this moment to arrive, so take your time to savor this sweet, Sherried lass to reward your patience.

James Allardice was the second person to apply for a license to distill Whiskey in Scotland, way back in 1826. Them’s some good times, my friend! Over the years, The GlenDronach has been owned by a veritable Who’s-Who of the historic lineage of Whiskey masters; from Walter Scott, to Captain Charles Grant, and William Teacher & Sons.
The late 1990’s saw some troubled times for the proud distillery, and many thought that the Spirit suffered. But the good times roll again! The BeRaich Distillery Company bought out the property and has restored this Highland Single Malt to its former glory, and then some. Their entire Whisky line is "sherried," meaning matured only in Oloroso Sherry casks. Highland, Single Malt, sherry casks, proper aging… I’m sold!

The GlenDronach 21YO Parliament is a lesson in maturation. Specifically, the incredible impact that premium barrels play. It is aged for a full 21 years in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks — two of the most flavorful and intense Sherries coming out of Spain. If you like and love Sherried Whisky — if you like things fruit-forward and on the sweeter side — you are going to adore this one.
But give this baby a little time. Let her rest in the glass for a bit with a splash of water. We know that you are eager, but take your time. She has been waiting 21 years for this moment to arrive, so let the moment linger. The older the Whisky, the more you should let it ripen in the glass. Pour your dram, add a splash of water, then gently cover and let sit one minute for each year of age. You will be surprised at the character this brings out of the Spirit. You will be rewarded with a thick, luscious mouth-feel and sweet complexity that will keep you coming back for more.

And this bottle know what glory tastes like. It won Double Gold at San Francisco Spirits Competition 2017.
Smartass Corner:
GlenDronach 21 YO Parliament is not named after any political body. Evidently there has been a group of crows — "rooks" in the native tongue — that have lived near the distillery for decades. Any group or gathering of crows is called a "parliament," lending the name to the Whisky.

Ratings & Reviews
Just a straight forward cherry bomb with a little bit of spice....disappointed given the price....HP 18 is better
Glendronach 21 yr it is a very good Scotch Whisky, but I prefer the 15 yr Revival, better tasting, smoother and quite a bit cheaper
Could take this home and introduce it to your parents. A lovely, well balanced whisky. Coffee and Chocolate are the dominant flavours, but a great dram all round.
Parliament is in session. This is a fantastic scotch, the nose is undoubtedly influenced heavily by it's sherry finish with plum and other fruits playing against chocolate to produce almost a caramel nose. The palate is incredibly full bodied, the chocolate and caramel develop, than fade into leather. It goes down very smoothly. Finally a long and sweet finish highlight this top shelf dram.
Just amazing! I’ve tried a lot of scotches and this one is arguably my favorite. Great sherried nose, excellent mouthfeel, and a long woody finish that doesn’t sour. Delicious.
Full bodied!! Sherry , chocolate and creamy!! Top 5 all-time favorites!!
Absolutely great dram with sweet and heavy sherry notes. One of my all time favourite!
The best tasting money I have ever had. Everything about the Glendronach 15 year revival that is wonderful and delicious, only more. The extra aging creates a more beautifully blended, smooth, and complimentary taste palate. If I could afford it I would drink nothing else. The best bottle I have ever had.
Sweet sherry, long finish and a bit of burn. I liked this much better with a small chip of ice and let it open up for about 20 minutes. Caramel, spice, oak start to come through and warmth without the burn. Very unique and glad to have tried this one - it’s a perfect dessert scotch
It spoked to me as soon as it touched my lips. I only share with very close friends.
Superb. Nearly perfect.
Incredible Sherry bomb for the price.
