All about Principe De Los Apostoles

Principe De Los Apostoles Gin is made with yerba mate (pronounced ‘mah-tay’), a species of the holly tree which is native to the country in which it is made; Argentina. The caffeinated leaves add a bitter quality to the Gin, which also contains pink grapefruit peel, peppermint and eucalyptus.

Apostoles is a town in the province of Misiones, where the first yerba mate plantations were laid. It became so popular that yerba mate tea is now the national drink of Argentina, and Principe De Los Apostoles Gin honors the plant as its main botanical. The recipe took two years to perfect, and is produced in 200-liter batches in a copper pot still.
