A Double-Gold winning Vodka from Austin, Texas… YeeHaw!
If your last name is “Beveridge,” you must be destined for the spirits business, right? It didn’t seem that way at first. Bert Butler “Tito” Beveridge II originally wanted to train horses. Then, after getting college degrees in geology and geophysics, he got into the oil business and the mortgage business after that. But along the way he started creating homemade flavored Vodkas to give to friends as gifts. He was hooked, forming Fifth Generation Inc. and his Mockingbird Distillery in 1997 — originally two tanks set upon soda-pop crates and powered by a turkey fryer. Today his “little” operation churns out nearly a million cases of Tito’s Vodka per year.
In Austin, Texas, there’s plenty of corn around. So, keeping true to his roots, Tito’s is made from 100% local yellow corn. Tito ran personal blind taste tests — buying the best Vodka’s off the shelf and trying out recipes, formulations, and techniques until he thought his was the best. Sales picked up. Then he received an unsolicited request to enter his Vodka in the World Spirits Competition. He was busy fixing a boiler, so he just sent a case to the event… and won the Double Gold Medal. Keeping it simple, clean, and with a rich mouth feel — Tito’s has put Texas on the Vodka map.
Best Vodka for mixing. Quickly becomes whatever you mix it with even at 3/4 ratio.
Smooth for the most part. Best for mixing. Good in bloodies
A good standby mixer.
My go to
The only vodka I refuse to sully with any mixer.
Popular and easy to come by, this particular Vodka has more "flavors" than I usually appreciate, preferring a more traditional flavorless offering. However, at its price it's an excellent Vodka to use in any cocktail that will mask the liquor with a powerful flavor or sweetness. Malibu Barbies (how I hate the names of the drinks my lady prefers) and any variant of a good Mule are excellent uses of this Vodka. That or mix it with lemonade on a hot afternoon cookout and relax.
A better than average vodka with a nice, perceptible flavor of wheat and corn that propels it above most other vodkas around its price range
Can’t go wrong with this Vodka. A staple in any home bar...
One of the most readily available vodkas but it does have a little bit of a bite, which can be masked well in a moscow mule.
Crisp and clean taste, straight or mixed
Go to vodka
Meh. It’s vodka. What’s to taste? We use the Kirkland version for mixing.
My favorite vodka because it has that nice hint of lemon, it's inexpensive but it mixes really well.
Love my Texas vodka, Tito’s is a staple.
Tito’s is great vodka. Can’t go wrong with this stuff. I feel like it’s a bottle that should always be in the cabinet
Well balanced vodka that is great in cocktails. Being one for "old school" cocktails I want to taste what I'm drinking and not have it covered up with a choice of 10 fruity flavors. Tito's vodka make as good a straight martini as it does one dirty and equally sits on the tongue simply sipped over ice.
Very efficient at sneaking up on you.
It's not as "clean" as other quadruple filtered vodkas but that's what makes it special and different, sometimes you actually want to taste the vodka. Great for cocktails where you don't want to mask the vodka
Love it. It's the most accessible and multi-faceted vodka I've come across. Very good anyway you choose to partake.
A cheap party vodka
Smooth and pairs well with most mixers
It's not great but it's not bad. Crowd and wallet pleaser in general.
I like this more than Grey Goose. Makes for a cleaner screwdriver in my opinion, also no hangover in the morning.
Great vodka at a great price.
Good all around vodka for mixing.
Great all purpose vodka. Smooth finish, doesn’t bowl you over with alcohol.
Smooth high quality vodka at a price of half of the competitors. This is my go to Vodka. If you're drinking something cheaper, step up to Titos. If you're drinking something more expensive, you're overpaying.
I have yet to find a better vodka. It is smooth and has some body to it .
However, it is still vodka and I have yet to figure out how people can drink vodka straight up.
God's Gift to Vodka, hookem
Solid, clean vodka. Good in mixes or over ice.
Very smooth when sipping
My favorite “go to” vodka either straight up or in a mixed drink
OK everyday vodka for mixers. Has some body to it.
Currently my favorite vodka
I don’t know much about vodka but this mixes well with pretty much everything.
Very clean. Mixes well with anything.
just love it
Wife a huge fan.
Perfect for mixed drinks.
A solid go to, clean and smooth.
Is their another kind?
Favorite vodka. Cheap, sweet flavor. A great back story as well
Nice and easy drinking
This is my wife’s go to. Like for dirty martinis and bloody Mary’s.
Not much stands out about this vodka which I guess makes it a pretty decent vodka. Not the smoothest but not bad either. I think it's a good mixer but I'm not going to drink this straight or on the rocks.
Good, smooth and cheap. Can you have a mule without Tito’s.... this is my go to vodka!
better for cocktails than to drink strait
Considering that it has been my go to Vodka for years, it pretty much speaks for itself.
Not much to it. It's like water with a kick. No flavor, which is good for vodka, because I usually get medicinal, metallic and chemical flavors in vodka. It's crisp, clean and easy to drink. Perfect for mixed drinks, like a vodka soda or a vodka gimlet
Clean, crisp, and smooth.
Great budget Vodka
Damn good vodka.
Great go-to vodka. Clean finish that gets out of the way of any mixers. Also does well in seltzer.
Overrated and amped up marketing - it is good vodka but there are others as good or better at a better value.
One of, if not the cleanest tasting vodkas on the market. The fact that I lived in Austin, Tx for a few years doesn’t hurt either.
Smooth, perfect for cocktails. Make’s a great Bloody Mary.
Good cleaner than most. Great for blood Mary’s or by itself
Smooth without the rubbing alcohol taste.
Good top shelf vodka, but there are better.
For something that should be odorless and tasteless, this is something special
As a true Texan this is the only vodka for me
Smooth and a great value.
To me, this one tastes like dirt. Not even good enough to be a mixer.
This has been my favorite Vodka for a couple of years now. Perfect for mixing with a smooth and clean taste that doesn't hit me in the head the next day.
My go-to Vodka. They changed the recipe slightly from the original, but it is still better than Goose, IMO.
great local vodka
Great for mixing only. Pepper is strong enough to be tasted in a mixed drink.
For the price there is none better than this.
Great everyday vodka.
Good, affordable vodka, popular in VA
smooth and almost flavor free
Exceptional mixing vodka.
love this smooth vodka, taste good on the rocks with club soda
Amazing for a Texas vodka. :) just fine for mixing, maybe not for sipping
Like getting punched in the throat
Great "every day" and mixing vodka. Bloody Marys come out amazing.
This has become one of my favorites! Clean taste. Great when chilled.
Love the clean smooth float this is my fav so far
Crisp taste when cold, gluten free, and never 2nd day hangovers
Average vodka slightly better than Smirnoff. Over priced for quality but still a good vodka for mixes. Not too good on its own over ice. No hangovers.
Pure and smooth, very good vodka
Goes great with anything!
There is a bite that shouldn't be there in a vodka. I prefer Luksusowa a true potato vodka over Tito's.
Sip it on the rocks with an orange wedge or mix it with anything.
Crazy good. Smooth body, almost get vanilla out of it.
it is a good, creamy, corn vodka from Austin, Texas; made in copper pot stills for a complex & smooth finish.
Best vodka I've ever tasted
for the ladies
My everyday Vodka
As far as vodka goes, solid.
Amazing quality at a low price
Smooth and clean.
My go to vodka. A bit dry as a straight sipper, but makes a mean mixer.
Good on the rocks or with a spritzer, creamy short finish
The only vodka I keep in my bar. Great to mix with.
