Irish Whiskey in a Rum Cask.
Jack Teeling founded the Teeling Whiskey Company in 2012, with a mission to challenge the norm by crafting Irish Whiskey with more depth of personality and character than the current mass-market options, and to become Ireland's leading independent Irish Whiskey producer. Jack Teeling comes from a family with a long tradition associated with Irish Whiskey. Take for example the Cooley distillery, which was founded by John Teeling, and Walter Teeling in 1782 who setup a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin.
Teeling Small Batch Whiskey is Teeling's attempt to create the most interesting Blended Irish Whiskey. Have they succeeded? The Small Batch is a blend of malt and grain Whiskey, specifically 35% malt and 65% grain, which means it's quite high in malt content (good!). It's bottled without an age statement, however we've found out that they use Whiskeys aged from 4 to 7 years. What makes it extra interesting is a further 6 months of maturation in ex-Flor de Cana Rum casks, which imparts sweet molasses flavors and notes, yet, remains Irish in the core. Fantastic? Oh yes. Teeling is making great progress towards reigniting the craving for Irish Whiskey Worldwide. We applaud.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Ratings & Reviews
Bradley,
Top two favorite Irish whiskeys. Smooth with a touch of sweetness and the rum cask finish puts it over the edge.
David,
Surprising Irish Whiskey - flavorful & smooth. It's like what Jameson would taste like if they didn't spend so much time messing it up.
I'll be buying this again, and soon.
CJ,
Solid everyday drinker with sweet finish.
Mark,
Sweeter. Some Lillie on the front. More florals on the finish
Tim,
A damn fine Irish. Definitely a step above your basic Jameson or Tullamore DEW. The extra finishing in the rum casks shines through with a sweetness that accompanies but doesn’t steal the spot light.
