William Larue Weller from Buffalo Trace has been honoring the Father of Wheated Bourbon with a special annual release of uncut and unfiltered Bourbon since 2005. It's been winning awards and is a wonderful centerpiece in any collector's home bar.

The 'lockdown year' 2020 release was distilled in winter of 2008 and matured for 12 years and six months in new #4 char white American oak in Warehouses I & C. After the angels took 73% of the original Spirit, the opulent and complex Bourbon was bottled at 134.5 Proof. You'll smell cherries, caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, and taste soft caramel, cinnamon, and spearmint. The finish? Expect a long and intense one with notes of oak and coffee. The 2020 William Larue Weller won the Extraordinary/Ultimate Recommendation at the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
