A lot has happened since the Ripy Brothers opened up a distillery on the slopes of a hill in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, in 1891. For once, it was renamed Wild Turkey after the Prohibition when one of the executives took it on a wild hunting trip and his friends couldn’t shut up about that "delicious Wild Turkey Bourbon". Then, they’ve had some changing of hands as is customary, including the Pernod Ricard acquisition in 1980, and they’re now proudly owned by the Campari Group since 2009. And let’s not forget their current greatest asset – the legendary father-son Master Distiller duo, the literal living legends Jimmy Russel and Eddie Russell – if you put them together, you get more than 100 years’ worth of precious Bourbon-making experience.

Wild Turkey Master’s Keep One Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is what happens when that father-son Master Distiller duo joins forces. While the dad prefers his juice to be aged for 8-10 years, the son is a fan of the older liquid. A blend of 8-10YO and 14YO Bourbons is their compromise and they finished it in a combination of toasted and new charred oak barrels. Bottled in 2021 at 50.5% ABV, this Straight Bourbon is a big and bold yet refined Whiskey that offers a creamy and spicy palate with flavors of chocolate, marshmallow, caramel, and tobacco leaf.
