Whistlepig 12 Year Old Single Barrel Maple Crème Brûlée Finish Rye Whiskey

WhistlePig: Rye with a Sweet Twist!

WhistlePig 12 Year Old Single Barrel Maple Crème Brûlée Finish Rye Whiskey is a rare gem from their bespoke barrel program. This 12-year-old rye, with a mashbill of 94% rye and 6% malted barley, takes a sweet detour by finishing in casks that once held WhistlePig's own maple syrup. At 86 proof, it’s a dessert-forward delight with notes of maple syrup, vanilla custard, and caramelized sugar. This limited edition is a must-try for those who crave a sweet twist on their rye.

WhistlePig is a Vermont-based estate producer of their own Whiskies. However, as they are ramping up production, they still contract out to external sources for the majority of their spirits.

In 2007, a band of dedicated Rye enthusiasts bought the farm — they actually purchased a plot of land in Vermont lovingly named Whistle Pig Farm. They teamed up with master distiller Dave Pickerell — formerly of Maker’s Mark — to bring genuine Rye Whiskey back to the forefront of American Whiskies. It took a lot of time, patience, experimentation, and reinvestment, but they have grown to produce five award-winning core products and have experimented with a variety of finished wood special edition Whiskies too.

As they have been growing his business, WhistlePig has been focused on the end goal of achieving true “estate production” — meaning EVERYTHING is done on site, from growing the grain and distilling the spirit to aging the Whiskey and bottling it for sale.
