Learn more >An ultra-smooth Vodka with some serious wheat cred.
From the Buffalo Trace Distillery, the place that's been cranking out legendary Bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle and Weller, comes a small-batch Wheatly Vodka — the grand project of Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley. With an unshakeable determination to create the smoothest Vodka known to man, Harlen and his crew set out on a long and arduous journey, creating HDW CLIX (which, in case you were wondering, stands for 159). Why 159? Because that’s how many distillations it took to produce this ultra-fine Spirit. But that wasn't enough for Harlen — he wanted a Vodka so perfect, he would be willing to put his name on it.
So if you thought it's called Wheatly Vodka because the secret to its balanced and delicate flavor lies in the wheat, you were wrong. But you were also right because, well it does… lie in the wheat. The team has borrowed a few tricks from the wheated Bourbon playbook and used the same red winter grain found in iconic brands like Weller and Pappy Van Winkle. The wheat undergoes a rigorous process of cooking, fermentation, and seven whole rounds of distillation in Harlen's ultra-exclusive micro-still. But it's not just the grains that make Wheatly Vodka special — it's the water too. Using pure, fresh, limestone-filtered water, they distill the Spirit ten times. That's right, ten times. And it shows. Made in small batches, triple filtered, and bottled at 82 proof, this artisanal Vodka boasts a clean, crisp, and refreshing taste that is sure to raise the bar for any cocktail it graces.
