A big beast of a Bourbon.

Warbringer Warmaster Bourbon is the fruit of collaboration between Sespe Creek Distillery in Oxnard, California, and MMA Heavyweight fighter Josh “Warmaster” Barnett. Some of you might also know Barnett under the name Baby Faced Assassin. Anyway, the Master Distiller of Warbringer David Brandt is a PhD by trade but he uses his extensive experience in chemistry and technology to distill Spirits. His methods include pressure cooking the distillate with the wood, roasting the corn and smoking the mesquite before distillation, and using one of the longest fermentation processes in the distilling world.

Warbringer Warmaster Bourbon is a special edition of Warbringer Bourbon. MMA legend Josh “Warmaster” Barnett hand-picked this cask strength and single cask Bourbon from a Sherry butt. A big beast of a Bourbon, it’s crafted with blends of hand-roasted mesquite, smoked corn, and malted rye. The result is a very well-balanced palate that’s deep and smokey with flavors pine, honey, creosol, and burnt sugar. We were really taken with this one and it seems like the critics were, too.

Wow, this is totally different...

Wow, this is totally different! It's has an interesting combination of butter, smoked meat, corn bread and almost like chocolate covered cherries. And it is BIG - really dense and heavy. Phenomenal. My new favorite bourbon, by far.

This is very heavy on cheap sm...

This is very heavy on cheap smoke flavor. I find it undrinkable. It's not a mellow or deep smoke, it's high and astringent. It would be a horrible Scotch, and makes an even worse Bourbon. A plastic bottle of Old Crow from the back of a ranch truck and 50 cents of liquid smoke would make you a better spirit. I couldn't even downgrade it to "mixer" status and am having difficulty giving it away.
