A well-aged Añejo Tequila from Nick Jonas, John Varvatos, and the masters at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos Distillery.

Arturo Fuentes has got to be the employee of the decade at Stoli Group. This chemical engineer turned master distiller has spent his life Blending Campaigns and distilling Cognac in France, creating rums in Mexico, and — exclusively for the last twenty years — developing all of Stoli’s premium Tequilas. Operating out of the Fabrica de Tequilas Finos Distillery in Jalisco, he is known as the "Godfather of Tequilas" for his expertise and service to the Spirits. The Villa One line of Tequila’s was created in collaboration with musician Nick Jonas and fashion designer John Varvatos.

The Villa One line of premium Tequilas consists fo the classic three — Silver, Reposado, and Añejo. All are 100% blue agave, but half is harvested in the volcanic highlands of Jalisco and half in the lowland, silty valley bringing a nice complexity. The agave hearts — piñas — are slow roasted and the Spirit is double-distilled with water from a well on site. The Tequila Añejo is aged for more than twelve months in American oak casks.

An anejo at this price that is smooth is like finding a unicorn. Notes of vanilla/caramel/toffee and a smooth finish. Well worth the price.

Barely survived excess Tequila...

Barely survived excess Tequila 40 years ago. Next 4 decades any Tequila near my nose was huge turn off.

Last year reluctantly sampled Villa One Añejo - it was so clean and fresh tasting! No hangover and long aversion to Tequilas simply vanished.

I thought all tequilas were flat with that strange aftertaste in the back of my throat. Villa One proved they could have flavor, body, and a satisfying finish. It went too fast

Pretty Darn Good!

Looks like someone just dropped a rating and dashed! No comment provided.

Smooth and clean, not the most...

Smooth and clean, not the most complex but a very solid a anejo that would make great tequila forward cocktails and easy to sip neat. This is a winner at this price point. ($35)
