A true Texas-style Straight Bourbon with the sweet and spicy character of the Lone Star State.

Leonard Firestone and Troy Robertson have known each other for years — their kids played together. Troy was ready to start a new venture in Whiskey-making and had scheduled a tour at a small craft shop. When he got there he discovered that his friend Leonard had an appointment the following week. Even two North Texas cowboys couldn’t ignore synchronicity like that. So they launched Firestone & Robertson Distilling together in 2010 — building out an old Prohibition-era warehouse in Fort Worth. They released their first Whiskey in 2012 to raging success. Pernod Ricard couldn’t resist a sip, and acquired the company in 2019 to bring their Spirit to a global audience.

TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey is as Texas as yellow roses and big bright skies. It’s made from all local grains — Texas yellow-dent corn, red winter wheat, and six-row malted barley. The fermentation comes from natural yeast that grows on Texas pecan trees under the watchful eye of head distiller Rob Arnold. The Spirit is aged for four years in new oak and bottled at a very pleasant 45% ABV that took home the 2020 Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition… YeeHaw!

Smartass Corner:
Each bottle of TX Whiskey is branded with a custom, hand-made stopper. They’re made of wood with a disk of hand-tool boot leather in a variety of colors and textures on the top.
