TX stands for "Texas". Or it might just be "totally excellent".
It was more than just chance that brought together Leonard Firestone and Troy Robertson, although Lady Luck did play her part. When they first met through their kids' shared playgroup, they had no idea that they had another thing in common โ the passion for everything Whiskey. It wasn't until both of them separately scheduled a visit at the same craft distillery that they discovered they shared a dream of distilling. One thing led to another and their vision became Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co., the first craft Bourbon and Whiskey distillery in North Texas.
The juice gets produced in a reclaimed Prohibition-era warehouse in downtown Fort Worth that has been renovated completely with 2 brand new Vendome copper pot-column hybrid stills in its center. The TX Blended Whiskey expression was their very first release, meaning they had to get it right. And that they did, as it's a complex and exquisitely-balanced affair that managed to wow the judges at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Plus, there's that elegant bottle that screams "Texas" with its canvas wrap and unique hand-made caps that Troy designed himself and are made from reclaimed cowboy boot leather. Yee-haw!
