Two Stacks' unique 5-part Irish blended Whiskey ― now in a can!
Two Stacks was launched in 2020 by a group of 3 friends ― Shane McCarthy, Donal McLynn, and Liam Brogan ― who had spent 6 years working together in the craft beverage importing and distribution business. With the Irish Whiskey Renaissance well underway, they deemed the time was ripe for a proper Whiskey brand ― a contemporary brand, built upon Irish Whiskey's rich heritage. They borrowed the name from the two chimney stacks of the Dundalk distillery that were so tall that seamen used them as a navigation point.
These guys are really pushing the envelope when it comes to Irish Whiskey. After releasing what just might have been the first 5-part Irish blend and the highest-proof Irish Whiskey, they have now come up with the world's first canned Irish Whiskey. It's the same juice as their First Cut expression ― an approachable 86-proof dram from Dundalk's Great Northern Distillery. Made with light & dark grain Whiskeys (80%), double & peated Malts (12%), and pot-still Whiskey (8%), it has everything: spice, fruity esters, and a touch of peat. Just in case you didn't register it for the first time: it comes in a 100ml can!
Appearance / Color
Golden
Nose / Aroma / Smell
The nose opens with tropical fruit, vanilla, cereal, and nutty aromas.
Flavor / Taste / Palate
The balance of spice and pleasant sweetness makes the palate really shine with notes of toffee, lemon zest, sherry, almonds, and charred oak.
Finish
The finish is sweet with lingering caramel, smoke, and black pepper notes.
