A Master Distiller & artist collab worth traveling far and wide for

Whiskey has been made at the Buffalo Trace Distillery site in Frankfort, Kentucky, for over 200 years. The first distillery linked to Buffalo Trace was started in 1812 by Harrison Blanton (yes, that Blanton). He sold it in 1870, and it was renamed the Old Fire Copper (O.F.C.) Distillery. Over the years, it changed hands several times until Sazerac purchased it in 1992. Today, they produce a wide range of bourbons and spirits, including their signature bourbon.

Traveller Whiskey is the kind of spirit that turns heads. Born from the genius combo of 10X Grammy-winner Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace’s Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, this isn’t just a whiskey; it’s a masterpiece. Over 50 blends were tested before Blend No. 40 stole the show, proving that good taste takes time. With notes of vanilla, buttery shortbread, and a whisper of oak, it’s a whiskey that’s “Easy to Drink, Hard Not to Love,” and the perfect companion whenever you find yourself in good company. Plus, it’s racked up some impressive awards, like a 2024 Double Gold TAG Global Spirits Award and Best in Class/Gold from Whiskies of the World.

Smooth

I love this bourbon! Buffalo Trace has done it again. I love the wheated bourbons and Buffalo Trace never disappoints. This bourbon is smooth and tasty. I definitely recommend this. Get yourself a bottle now.

Vitalis

This may be worth $8 or $9 dollars to an alcoholic. I am sure it will get you drunk if you are desperate enough to drink enough of it, but I literally poured out 3/4 of my pour. Gave the bottle to a friend. Not sure what he did with it, but he was not impressed either. Reminded me of when I accidently got some Vitalis hair tonic in my mouth back in the '60s. But, your palate may be different than mine, so don't let me dissuade you from giving it a try. If you like Canadian whiskey (or Vitalis), you may like it.

Solid daily drinker

This is a simple pour. I think it’s very flavorful, but not complex. For the price point, well worth keeping it in your mix of easy to drink libations
