An exceptionally old and lavishly flamboyant Singleton.
A treasure chest of history, elegance, and old-time flair.Nestled in the heart of the Scotch Whisky capital, Dufftown distillery has been creating sweet and fruity malt classics that have helped make Speyside one of the most famous Whisky-producing regions in the world. Dufftown distillery alone is currently producing a whopping 6 million liters of Whisky Spirit every year and it shows no signs of slowing down. As the third biggest distillery owned by Diageo, Dufftown will be continuing its role as a trendsetter within the Scotch industry for many years to come.
Especially with releases like the following one. The Singleton 54 YO Single Malt is an exceptionally limited-release Scotch Whisky from a by-gone era. A 1966 vintage means, the European oak cask it rested in was laid down by the old distillers over half a century ago and that makes it the closest to the end of the old slow-craft period that they have ever released. On that note, this Singleton is actually their oldest Single Malt release, and it's the second and final bottling in its Paragon of Time Collection. There's history in every drop here. To unveil a new layer of the exceptional flavor, this Methuselah of a Whisky was additionally finished in a single Pedro Ximenez-seasoned cask.
Available in exceptionally limited quantities of just 235 bottles, the rich, complex, and mellow Single Malt is housed in a bespoke, leather-lined wooden cabinet. The 54 layered ridged setting of the decanter display is inspired by the Scottish mountain landscape, amid wood mirroring the 54 years of maturation. The decanter, a masterpiece in crystal, was hand-made by Baccarat in France to The Singleton silhouette, with the intricate copper detail around the neck being crafted by Royal Warrant Holders, Thomas Fattorini.
