A rare and ultra-aged treasure from the most awarded Irish Whiskey.
The Teeling Whiskey distillery is pretty new. When they opened up shop in the heart of Ireland's capital in 2015, they were the first new Spirit maker in Dublin for over 125 years. But don't be fooled by their age: Jack and Stephen Teeling come from a famous and ancient line of distillers. The place where the new Teeling distillery stands used to belong to Walter Teeling, who established his production back in 1782. Now, the dynamic siblings receive awards left and right.
For the marvelous Vintage Reserve Collection, which also features the award-winning 24YO and 28YO, Jack Teeling crafted another splendid offering: Teeling 30 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey, one of the oldest Irish Single Malts in existence. The Spirit spent long decades in ex-Bourbon casks before they gave it an elegant finish in wine barrels that used to hold Sauternes, known for the sweet and complex influence. The 30YO has a luxurious bouquet that conjures images of vast orchards and chocolate while it indulges the palate with flavors of peaches, apricots, and an echo of smoke. It's glorious and limited to only four thousand bottles per batch.
