Tamdhu started out as a revolutionary distillery in the time of early railroad construction, electricity, and industrialization in Scotland. Tamdhu’s founders were obsessed with the idea of perfection and constructed the most advanced distillery of its time. After the booming 1970s, they were forced to close their doors in 2010 but returned with a bang 2 years later, revitalized, ready, and raring to return to their old glory.

Famous for being masters of Sherried releases, they have a precious collection of Whiskies aged in Oloroso Sherry casks. Tamdhu Batch Strength #5 is a great addition to the bunch and if you’re familiar with releases 1-4#, you’ll love this one. If you’re not familiar with these Sherries masterpieces yet, do yourself a favor and acquaint yourself with them ASAP. Batch Strength #5 comes at you non-chill-filtered at 59.8% ABV with aromas of warm vanilla and cinnamon that evolve into summer berries and rich cream on the luxuriously thick palate.
