Talisker 30 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Talisker distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskil at Carbost, on the Isle of Skye. In all these years Talisker's distillation method has remained virtually unchanged, refusing to go with the flow of the industry, well...asides from the necessary health and safety improvements. As the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker's drams are quite idiosyncratic, defining an Island Malt style that is very much their own.

Born on the rugged coastlines of the Isle of Skye, Talisker 30 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was made by the sea. It was raised by the sea, too, since it spent 30 years slowly maturing until it was ready to be bottled at 48.5% ABV. This is a rare and limited expression that’s now being re-released after its initial release in 2017. Elegant and complex, this beauty offers sweet smoke and hints of pepper, making it all very subtle, smooth, and round. An offering like this takes real mastery to create. And lots of time, evidently. Sip it neat, on the rocks, or mix it up.
