Calendar Whiskey

Love the whiskey as I knew I would. This was part of the Advent Calendar from which I ordered three different bottles. Enjoy the single malt and the Blue Peak is easy to drink. This bottle arrived in a timely manner with no problems. However, the other two bottles took over four weeks to arrive with very little communication about the delay. I'll think twice about ordering again without really knowing what has happened with my order.

Flavorful but spicy

Has a load of flavor but a whole mouth burn, if you're drinking it straight. Definitely better over a cube or two. Sweet and burn caramel flavor. Hits the nose with a sweetness

Day 3 Stranahan's

Nice, pleasant taste, yet rather simple, not complexed; mostly likely because it's a Single Malt. I would enjoy it if a bottle was given as a gift, doubt I'd buy a bottle.

Just not my thing

Interesting distillery, and quality product, but single malt just isn't for me. The whole barley thing just makes it taste like beer-whiskey to me

Pleasantly surprised

When I saw American Single Malt, I was skeptical. This is a fine pour. It has the right balance of everything. The price tag makes it a great value. Thin and light in color. Classic, scotch like smell. Spice and warmth on the palate. Upfront sweetness, nice and toasty. It’s not listed in the notes, but I also get citrus. Really enjoyed 6.5/10. Price taken into account 7.5/10.
