Smokehead is a peat project of Ian Macleod Distillers, a family company that has been producing different Whisky for three generations. The identity of the exact distillery is unknown and the mystery to this almost cult brand has got a firm base of thirsty followers. The approach to the production of this phenolic Islay Malt is as fresh and crisp as this straightforward dram itself. As the Whisky industry searches for new ways of presenting and selling their products, there are those few that start a new wave of something different. And that is what this peat bullet is all about as it goes away from classic Scotch drinkers and lures more drinkers into this peaty, smoky and heathery cave!

Now, meet the real rebel. This Single Malt Scotch was not so much finished in sweet Caribbean Rum casks as it was barely contained within them according to the makers. As this is a limited annual release, we’d get our bottle while we can if we were you.
