A delicate, silky, and sophisticated distillate of rye and molasses delivered at a delightful cocktail strength.
As they say, back in the day, Statesville, North Carolina, was called the "liquor capital of the world." Hundreds of farm distilleries and major distributors called this small southern town home. Southern Distilling Company was founded here in 2013 by Pete and Vienna Barger. Since then they have installed a state-of-the-art column still that stretches forty feet tall. This small town, family owned and operated, farm distillery produces a wide range of youthful and aged Spirits.
Saint Luna Moonshine is not the kind of stuff you find in the truck of a Dodge Charger running from Johnny Law. It’s more like the sophisticated crystal Spirit served in high-end speakeasy Jazz clubs. That sophistication starts with the base — a combination of rye and molasses. So as you might imagine, this liquid occupies a space somewhere between new-make Whiskey and Rum. And its oak-charcoal filtered to make this barely legal sipper incredibly smooth and silky even though it’s bottled at 50% ABV. Welcome to the Cocktail club my friend!
