Let’s unpack the name first, shall we? For ROXOR, it's a simple equation: their exceptional Spirits work best on the ROX (OR shaken OR stirred) = ROXOR. Founded by Robert Del Grande, a bio-chemist-and-James-Beard-Award-winning-chef, and Don Short, a Coca-Cola veteran, their mantra revolves around a simple motto: "Real plants make better Spirits." And while Robert worked his magic on the recipe, Don took cues from architectural legends like Frank Lloyd Wright to design the sleek Skyline bottle that's become an icon in its own right.
Honeysuckle, wild cherry bark, kola nuts, rose petals, fenugreek, cascara root, and valerian root. These are just a few of the 20 exotic botanicals carefully chosen by Robert Del Grande to assemble the heart and soul of the world's first Botanical Bourbon Whiskey. He's cleverly chosen bark and root matter that accentuate the soul of an American white charred oak barrel. So, what is the process here? Well, it begins with the Bourbon — crafted from a mash bill of 74% corn, 21% Rye, and 5% Malt and aged for two years before getting infused with the medley of that exotic bang and resting it out for an additional 6-9 months. The botanicals in this Spirit merged with the liquid to create a velvety, rich taste, boasting a maple and oak blend with a complexity and depth akin to a much wiser Bourbon.
