Four Root liquors are handcrafted and based on ancient herbal remedies dating back to the middle of the 19th century, using natural native ingredients of Greece. In just a few years, Roots potions conquered the best bars in London, Athens, Rome, and Paris. Each Spirit has its own story.

Roots Mastic Diktamo Wild Herbs Liqueur is made from wild herbs that come from the mountains on the Greek island of Crete. The traditional Greek herbal recipe includes licorice, orris fold, and Diktamo, a rare plant that’s known for its healing, therapeutic, and even aphrodisiac properties. Diktamo is not a new thing for the Greeks: Hippocrates would prescribe it to his patients and even Aristotle wrote about the “miracle cure” plant. And these were generally smart guys. Savor this Greek potion neat as a digestif or on the rocks with just a splash of tonic. Warning: it might make you a tad frisky.
