An incredibly smooth Irish Whiskey that honors the independent Irish Spirit.
Proclamation Irish Whiskey nods both to the history and the people behind the Proclamation. For those of you not in the know, The Proclamation is the document with which the establishment of the Irish Republic was proclaimed back in 1916. Historian, author and publisher Mícheál Ó Doibhilín says that they wanted to celebrate Ireland’s independent Spirit by creating a high-quality Irish whiskey.
Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey honors the three printers of the Proclamation: William O’Brien, Michael Molloy and Christopher Joseph Brady. The fonts on the label emulate the ones from the original documents and you’ll notice some of the text includes blind embossing.
But what about the juice, you ask? Blending the finest grain Whiskies from all over Ireland, this Whiskey is crafted in small individual batches. Complex and refined, it’s tripled distilled and aged in new American Oak before it’s aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. A drop of Sherry-finished Malt is added for a rounded and toasted finish. Enjoy it neat or make a tasty cocktail.
Appearance / Color
Golden
Nose / Aroma / Smell
Aromas of ripe Williams pear, followed by an abundance of apricot and creme brulée notes.
Flavor / Taste / Palate
Smooth, complex, and refined with toasted brioche, freshly baked pastry, and overtones of macerated yellow fruits.
Finish
Robust and rounded with hints of toasted cereal.
