So James decided to establish and rename the company John Power & Son and relocated to a standalone distillery on John’s Lane in 1822. Now, Powers Irish Whiskey is distilled at the Midleton distillery, under the safe wing of Irish Distillers, a Spirit giant that gathered all the big guns such as John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and Cork Distilleries Company Spirit. It encouraged them to join forces and ensure that Irish Spirit Legacy lives on!
