The Mash Bill Identifies as Fluid. Deal with It.
This has always been a family affair. It was, after all, founded by soon-to-be parents of little Penelope, Kerry, and Mike, who teamed up with a childhood friend - thus, both Penelopes were born, eventually, out of pure love and passion. Their mission? To make Straight Bourbon Whiskey for everybody. It is distilled at MGP's Lawrenceburg distillery, bottled, and blended at Castle Key, but the casks are sourced from the Speyside Cooperage. It takes a (few) village(s) to raise a tasty baby, and Penelope's ol' folks live by that saying. It seems.
The Toasted series is an experiment of sorts, so sit down, take a sip, and observe. There's the Penelope base, the 4 grain, 3 Mash Bills Straight Bourbon Whiskey fully matured in American oak barrels. Then the plot thickens. The blend is then finished in custom charred and toasted barrels. Each batch is unique. So is every bottle. Let the exploration begin.
