Patrón is one of the most famous Tequila brands in the world. Patrón was created by 7 Leguas Distillery in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco. Then it was sold to St. Maaren Spirits who eventually built a new distillery just for the brand — the Hacienda Patrón Distillery in Jalisco — expanding capacity and building the brand into a global powerhouse. In 2018, Patrón was sold to Bacardi — the world’s largest privately-held Spirits company — where the range has been expanded into dozens of tasty variants.
Patrón Reposado Tequila is distilled from 100% Blue Agave plants from the Highlands region (where the Blue Agave plants are bigger and contain more sugar, resulting in a fruitier Spirit), the 'piña' is macerated with large, natural, stone-milling wheels. Tequila is double distilled and aged for an average of 6 months in small oak barrels.
