Literally the high point of Tequila perfection.
Patrón: the OG of top-shelf Tequila. This ultra-premium Spirit was created in Jalisco, Mexico, in '89 by the 7 Leguas Distillery and has been slaying the game ever since. Not content with the standard definition of Patron as a charitable or financially supportive person, the brand's founders, John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley opted for the more boss-like interpretation. Like you know… the Big Kahuna. Unlike the "mixedto" Tequilas of old, Patrón is made with 100% Blue Weber Agave. Their signature lineup is a hybrid of traditional and modern techniques, crushing half the agaves with a tahona and the other half with a roller-mill. And as of 2018, Bacardi, the world's biggest privately-held Spirits company, scooped up Patrón and expanded its range to include dozens of mouth-watering variants.
El Alto Reposado is more than just a Tequila; it is a labor of love from Patrón's Master Distillers, who poured their hearts and souls into honing their craft. They scoured the highest peaks of the Atotonilco region for the finest agaves, mashed it with ancient volcanic stones, baked it for days in clay ovens, and aged it until it became a sensuously smooth, caramel-flavored elixir. They blended the best Patrón Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo Tequilas, resulting in a subtle spell of caramel, dried fruit, and vanilla. And… surely, you’ve seen the bottle, right? Yeah, sometimes even the most eloquent of us are left speechless.
