PaQui’s brilliant Tequila Spirit aged for four months in ex-Whiskey casks..

Tequila Holdings was founded by John Chappell in 2006. The company got the trademark on PaQui in 2008 and began working on what would become their signature Tequila offering. Once they had developed their products, they started selling in a grass-roots effort with John and his sales manager selling bottles of finished Tequila literally door-to-door to restaurants and bars in New York City. Met with success and a solid reorder rate, they launched a successful fund-raising campaign on StartEngine to ramp up product and build distribution.

PaQuí Reposado Tequila is the middle-child of the PaQui Tequila lineup. The same 100% Weber blue agave is allowed to fully mature for seven to eight years in the field — which is up to three times longer than some lesser brands. Trust us, it makes a difference. Then the Tequila wizards at Distillery Autentica Tequilera in the town of Tequila work their magic alchemy of fermentation and distillation. Only this time the Spirit is allowed to rest in ex-Whiskey barrels for four months to polish the signature flavors with a bit of wood.

Smartass Corner:
PaQui is said to be an Aztec word that translates as "to be happy." The logo is a stylized Aztec warrior who is dancing.

This is way to good a tequila to mix. Made to drink neat as a sipper. You will not find better in my opinion.

Stunning. I have never tasted ...

Stunning. I have never tasted a Reposado so perfectly balanced and so refined in taste, aroma and flavor. Just a touch of oak adds a round finish to the delicious agave taste and brings out all the aromas that you'd want to taste in a tequila. Exceptionally smooth and easy to drink. A must-try if you are serious about tequilas and want one to boast to your friends.

What a glorious Reposado tequi...

What a glorious Reposado tequila. It's got oak influence, but the bright, tropical flavors of the agave still stand out. The oak makes the fruity, floral, herbaceous flavors taste warmer and more robust. I love to sip this, and I also love it mixed with 1/2 ounce of passion fruit syrup.
