Eight seasons ago, Diageo launched their Orphan Barrel strategy. What are orphan barrels? They’re Whiskey stocks that were not bottled or used in blends. Diageo’s made good use of them and branded these one-off, ultra-aged barrels for very limited release.

But a few years ago, they shifted their program to an annual release program, where Whiskey lovers can purchase a certain expression every year and follow its progress and changes as it ages. An incredible opportunity to experience a Bourbon from year to year.
