Oppidan’s new American school of distilling is the latest upgrade in the millennia-long evolution. Founded in 2015 by Jeff Walsh, Oppidan takes tradition and enhances it with modern experimentation, coming up with exciting new twists and techniques. Situated not far from Lake Michigan, the Spirit Sorcerers specialize in American Gin and Whiskey, pushing the envelope all the time.

The elegant bottle labelled “Smoke + Sea” holds a precious Whiskey created from four-grain Straight Bourbon and Solera-aged Bourbon mash bills. The malty and chocolaty Bourbon inherits its smoky and maritime character from French Oak and barrels that used to hold peated Islay Scotch. It’s a harmonious balance of true American Spirit and mysterious shores of Scotland.
