How’d you like them pineapples?
Far over the Smoky Mountains cold, a magical concoction called Moonshine was brewed. But kind of like… under the table, y’know? At least until 2009, when the State of Tennessee changed its laws to allow distilling and thus the making of Moonshine — for the first time in more than one hundred years. Joe Baker and his family jumped at the chance to get into the game. They have had raging success since then, opening four themed, visitor-friendly distilleries in their home state and creating dozens of flavored Moonshines and Whiskies that are now available across the United States and around the world — some of them strong enough to peel the paint off a battleship, some bordering on Liqueur, all of them delicious.
One of the latest additions to their colorful Moonshine family comes with a delicious tropical kick of that sweet, yellow fruit that we all love — the pineapple. Soaked in Ole Smoky’s Moonshine that's made with that authentic Tennessee recipe, the pineapples add their quintessentially island-like aromas to this unrefined drink. Bottled at 80 proof, this lil’ yellow beauty works perfectly with a wide variety of exotic cocktails. Or, if you’re among the braver population, you can simply enjoy it straight outta that mason jar.
