He managed to buy the Weller & Sons Co. and the Stitzel Distillery. He merged the two, and the rest is Kentucky history. Van Winkle stays a household name synonymous with decadent Whiskey.

The bottle in question here holds an unmatched expression. It’s ‘almost’ barrel proof - only ‘a few drops of pristine water from the well’ are added when the juice transitions from barrel to bottle.
