The Whiskey Gentry of the New World.

In Ohio, there’s a town called Newtown that was quite unassuming until now. For a couple of years, the town’s been making an excellent double-gold double-oak Bourbon named Noble Oak. Noble Oak is a quality crafted American Whiskey brand that also has a heart — each bottle sold plants a tree.

And why is this particular Spirit so special? Well, first it spends at least twelve months in charred new American white oak barrels, earning its sweet vanilla character. Its makers use time-honored methods of maturation to create an unrivaled Bourbon with body, deep color, and richness of flavor. Then, Spanish Sherry oak staves are added, and voila: a noble Bourbon is born. Experts say it’s superb, aromatic and pleasing, but we think they are forgetting a couple of adjectives: exciting, and a bit exotic.

A Worthy Dram!

Tried this on a whim, and I'm not disappointed at all. I am no good at all when trying to sound knowledgeable in tasting, and I still can't tell a peppery taste from a vanilla. But I do know what I like, and I liked this. It had a bit sweeter finish that I expected (not a bad thing), so it sort of glided in on its landing. Not the most distinct I've had. but wasn't expecting much coming out of Ohio (no offense to my Ohians out there!). Very enjoyable, and worth a try, I'd say.

Solid

This isn't the best or most flavorful whiskey I've ever tasted, but it's very easy to drink and enjoy. It's not harsh in any way and I can see why some other who have reviewed it would say it's thin or not distinctive. I think this would be good for someone trying to develop their nosing/tasting skills. It's not overpowering and isn't incredibly complicated. It's just, nice.

Glad It Was Free

Very thin with no character. Weak on the nose and palate, like they used far too much water to cut it to proof. I got this bottle as part of my membership but I would never pay for it nor recommend it to anyone.
