The Milam & Greene Distillery right out of Blanco, Texas, is a Whiskey lover's paradise. Led by CEO Heather Greene and master distiller Marlene Holmes, the team creates some of the finest Whiskey using a mix of copper pot stills and classic column stills alongside its proprietary yeast recipe and mash bill. Aging takes place in rickhouses across four states, ensuring a diverse range of flavors for their casks.

M & G's Very Small Batch Straight Bourbon is a knockout sipper released biannually due to its time-consuming production process. The unique vatting combines Bourbon barrels from Kentucky and Tennessee with French Oak staves steeped in tawny port wine and Rye Whiskey. Boasting a 108 proof, this bold Bourbon has tasting notes of vanilla, candied pecans, and dried figs, making it as unforgettable as a Texas Ranger.

Everything about this whiskey is great

Recently ordered and tried this whiskey, for such high proof whiskey, this is extremely easy to drink, with touch of sweetness in the back of your mouth, perfect on the rocks and to die for the old fashioned. Strongly recommend

High Proof keeps this good but not great

First sipped neat, then with a few drops of spring water, and lastly over ice

Neat most of the nose was fruit and finish was an oaky smoke

Once water added marshmallow revealed itself in both smell and taste but I wish more so!! The potential is great here. Next came the dark fruits, and baking spices with a lot of heat

Lastly on ice everything was smoothed over and quite nice to sip dissipating some of the heat from the higher proof

Probably won’t buy another small batch battle but eager to try their lower proofed efforts…everything was there and this was so close from being just good to great…a little less proofing might have just brought this pour home!!
