A special blend of Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky Whiskey.

Our resident liquor experts, David Wondrich and Noah Rothbaum, have known Milam & Greene’s Master Blender Heather Greene for ages. So they needed no convincing to team up with her to create a special American whiskey blend. Greene mixed up eight different combinations of rare whiskies aging in her warehouses and the trio tasted and debated the merits of each. They settled on a delicious cask-strength combination of Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky whiskies, which they called Unabridged Vol. 1. It is an unusually luscious expression with plenty of sweet maple syrup on the nose, a robust body, and a long finish–an instant classic!

Milam & Greene is located in Texas Hill Country and was founded by Marsha Milam and its whiskey is made by Master Blender Heather Greene and Master Distiller Marlene Holmes. The three have half a century of combined liquor experience. And that’s not to mention their passion for whiskey and their gift for innovation. The brand produces whiskey in its Texas distillery as well as buys rare barrels from distillers in other states, including Kentucky and Indiana.

I really wanted to like this, ...

I really wanted to like this, I really did, especially given its creators and my admiration for them (whether its their published works, podcasts, etc.). And while it's ~ok~, it's not great, especially at the price.
It is cask strength, with a uninteresting nose and and muddled flavors lost behind the alcohol.
