Midleton 45 Year Old Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection Irish Whiskey

It's 1974, in the Old Midleton Distillery, just one year before they shut it down and locked the gates for good after 150 years. Master Distiller Emeritus Max Crockett was trying something new, not realizing it won't be released or recreated. He experimented with peated Single Malt Whiskey made between 1964 and 1974, creating one of the most ultra-rare and luxurious Irish Whiskeys.

For 45 years, the opulent and extravagant blend waited in the third-fill sherry cask. Luckily, someone found the treasure and released the first chapter of the forgotten story. Midleton will release one offering each year, concluding the tale in 2025, when they'll celebrate Old Middleton Distillery's 200th century. Expect notes of honeydew melon, sweet toasted oak spices, and red berries. We can't even comprehend how exquisite and rare this one is.
