Michter's annual release schedule has been keeping Whiskey hunters on their toes for years. The Louisville-based distillery prides itself in taking time when offering traditional American Whiskies and limited edition production offerings. Their specialty is putting freshly distilled Spirits into the barrel at a lower proof. As the barrels mature they generally increase in proof and with no water is added later in the process, the final yield is richer, smoother, and more full-bodied.

Michter’s US*1 Barrel Strength Rye March 2021 is the highly anticipated successor to the April 2019 release. With an average proof of 110.3, this is one powerhouse of a Rye, beautiful in its display of the style's nuances, but also smooth and approachable.
