The 2022 release continues Bomberger's tradition of offering bold, beautiful, opulent, and layered complexity inherited from the Chinquapin oak. Interesting fact: the oak was first naturally air-dried and seasoned for three years before they toasted and charred it and put the Whiskey in it. The rich mahogany hue is an introduction to a dark fruit nose and an impressive palate that offers lush toffee, chocolate, and berries notes, accompanied by delicate spiciness. It truly is a "whoa" kind of Bourbon.
