Maybe the best Lagavulin yet

I've never tried a Lagavulin that I didn't love. I'm a sucker for smokey, peated scotches. However, this one hits a little bit different. It has some really lovely sweet notes to compliment the smoke. But the biggest thing I notice is the heat that each sip brings. With other smokey scotches, it can taste like breathing in the smoke from a nearby fire. With this one, it's almost like you're leaning in a little bit closer, so in addition to the smoke, you're getting some of the heat from the fire as well. Whatever it is, it is a wonderful compliment to the usual flavor of Lagavulin. Highly recommend!
