The foundational dram of the Knob Creek range — one of our favs and worth every cent.

Knob Creek is one of the special "small batch" brands of Beam-Suntory. Along with it’s sister labels — Booker’s, Baker’s, and Basil Hayden’s — it’s tailored to the more discriminating Bourbon-lover (and that means YOU). The Knob Creek brand was first launched in 1992, and since then they have changed it very little — remaining dedicated to reproducing a pre-Prohibition style Bourbon experience with a higher ABV that makes it a Bourbon-of-Choice for discriminating cocktail aficionados everywhere while winning awards and turning heads.

Knob Creek 9 year-old Small Batch Bourbon is the core, bedrock platform upon which the Knob Creek Empire of Awesomeness sits. It is both refined and unpretentious. It knows what it is and is happy with what it sees. It’s aged nine full years and bottled at a muscular 50% ABV.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… we have a real soft-spot in our hearts for Knob Creek. Great value, great Whiskey, and our go-to Bourbon for making killer cocktails. End of story.

For the price, it really doesn't give me anything to complain about. However, it also isn't anything that stands out. I like that they chose to do 100 proof for their entry bourbon because it didn’t drink like one. Is it super memorable? Not quite and I know there are some huge Knob Creek fans out there so I am sorry that I wasn’t in love with this bottle, but I won't stop trying all their offerings. I would definitely pick this up to share with friends.

This is one of my go-tos, easily in my top 5. Little vanilla, caramel and oaky flavors. It’s great neat or mixed, either way. Can’t go wrong.
