Batch No. 10 of the awesome Kentucky Owl Bourbon is here and it's another epic Whiskey.

The original Kentucky Owl Whiskey was made by Charles Mortimer Dedman in the late 1800s. After every drop of this "Wise Man’s Whiskey" in inventory was, ahem… "confiscated" by federal agents under mysterious circumstances at the start of Prohibition, the C.M. Dedman Distillery faded into history. But just a few years ago his great-great-grandson — Dixon Dedman — revived the brand, creating the Kentucky Owl Bourbons and Ryes as small-batch, super-premium Spirit blends.

Their Rye releases have been a smash hit and their Bourbons are just as great, winning awards left and right, selling out fast. The Bourbon is on Batch No. 10. It's a blend of some of their oldest oakier Spirit with younger, fruitier, and spicier ones. It's barrel-proof at 120.2 proof, it's uncut and unfiltered ― Master Blender Dedman wouldn't have anything in the way of taste with his new creation.

Nose / Aroma / Smell
It's a well-balanced nose of caramel, fruity apple notes, vanilla, a touch of spice, and wood.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
Sweet caramel and toffee are on the palate along with vanilla. Floral and fruity notes follow.

Finish
The finish is nice and spicy with lingering notes.
