KAH Tequila is produced by Amber Production Tequila, formerly known as Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, located in the town of Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico. Most of the people working there have been there since its establishment in 2000, and that includes KAH Tequila Master Distiller Arturo Fuentes who has been dedicated to the production of alcoholic beverages for forty-five years. More than a decade ago he was part of the team that created KAH – an outstanding 100% Blue Agave Tequila that was inspired by Day of the Dead celebrations, a Mesoamerican tradition that’s more than 3000 years old and honors the loved ones who have passed away. KAH stands for “life” in the ancient Mayan language and the bottle’s green enamel symbolizes eternity and fruitfulness of everything that matters, shining even in the dark. KAH Extra Añejo Tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave that’s sourced from Jalisco. This agave-forward Spirit is matured for 36 long months in American oak barrels. The end result? An insanely smooth palate with notes of pepper and smoky wood that are supported by hints of sweet spice, honey maple, vanilla, and caramel. A complex sipper, this one, so don’t be afraid to sip it neat or on the rocks but it performs wonderfully in flavorful cocktails, too.
