A boldly balanced homage to a badass grandmother and her legacy.

Louisville, Kentucky. While this is the city where the story of Jefferson's began, it is certainly not where it ended up. In 1997, Trey and Chet Zoeller โ€” a father and a son โ€” joined their vision and swore to continue the family's long-lasting reputation as truly knowledgeable Spirits enthusiasts. This respectable status followed them around since 1799 when their distant grandmother got bottled up in a jail cell for the "production and sales of spirituous Liquors." The experimental vision of Trey Zoeller quickly shifted from a traditional, "feet-firm-on-the-ground" approach to... well, a very peculiar and uncommon place for aging Bourbon Whiskey โ€“ a boat. Fueled by the concept that the constant movement of the liquid produces increased contact with the wood, effectively speeding up the aging process, they managed to create a distinct taste that can't be found in any other Whiskey.

In celebration of their 25th year in the biz, Trey and Chet traded in their seafaring exploits for a deep dive into their history and the art of blending. They brewed one delicious tribute for their badass grandmother, Marian McLain, a pioneering queen of Whiskey-making from the late 1700s. Despite being locked up for daring to distill and sell her Whiskey without taxes, Marian wasn't a rebellious rule-breaker (or rather, she wasnโ€™t JUST a rebellious rule-breaker) โ€” she was a war widow with mouths to feed, and she used her wits to make some seriously tasty Hooch. To honor her resourceful Spirit, the Marian McLain Blend brings together five distinct Bourbons with their unique personalities, resulting in a deliciously balanced yet daring flavor that'll have you swooning over brown sugar and banana notes, followed by a rich and spicy molasses finish. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks โ€” Marian would have had it no other way.
