Thank you for your service. And the Bourbon!
There's no doubt about it β 9/11 changed everything. The story of Horse Soldier begins just a few days later when the USA sent the first few Special Forces teams to Afghanistan. It was there that a brotherhood started forming, one that would lead a team of veterans through several major conflicts and ultimately to Bourbon-making. Fueled by family values, adventure, and pride, they continue making history with their award-winning all-natural handcrafted Whiskey.
While their production plant is being erected in Somerset, Kentucky, they are collaborating with Middle West Spirits to distill their Spirits in Columbus, Ohio. The Premium Straight Bourbon has a mash bill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% barley and is aged for 2-4 years. The delicious non-chill-filtered Whiskey is bound to win you over with its caramel, toffee, fruit, and spice notes β just as it impressed the panel at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, bringing in a Double Gold Medal. Then there's the bottles! They have created bottle molds out of steel that has been recovered from the World Trade Center after 9/11 and was donated to them by The New York Port Authority. If there ever was a Bourbon that was forged in fire, this is it.
