When Nate and Bonnie Randall, a husband and wife duo, stumbled upon the tiny city of Arnold in Sierra Nevada, California, it was love at first sight. The vast nature, the Alpine surroundings, and the fresh mountain air made them drop their whole life across the country and move to California. As we all know, there is no better or more delicious way to represent your surroundings than to transform them into some delicious booze, and so Nate and Bonnie founded the Hinterhaus distillery in 2020 to showcase the region they fell in love with through some fine Spirits. Big on life-determining issues such as sustainability, eco-friendliness, and regional development, they soon connected with their neighbors to source local casks, wines, and ingredients, and today, they are proudly running a family-operated distillery and producing some top-notch Spirits.

Among them is their Calaveras Cask Finish Bourbon, a fine blend of some exceptional straight Whiskey Bourbons that were aged in traditional new charred American oak right there at the Hinterhaus distillery before being blended and finished in a variety of local wine casks, giving the Spirit an extra depth of flavor as well as a regional imprint. This artisan goodie has a luscious full color (all natural, no color added!) and a complex flavor that will keep you wanting more. It is bottled non-chill filtered at an ABV of 46% and produced in small batches.
