Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion created this truly remarkable tipple through a pretty complex process of barrel selection, marriages (arranged by flavor policy), and maturation. Here's how it supposedly went.
In 2008 nine refill casks from 1968 married each other and were then re-racked into sherry-seasoned oak for another 12 years. Later, HP's 2018 batch of 50-Years-Old married into a specifically selected European oak butt.
