Heaven Hill 27 Year Old Barrel Proof Bourbon

Heaven Hill Distillers is one of the oldest and largest Bourbon distillers in the world. They’re the seventh-largest supplier of Spirits in the US with the second-largest standing inventory of aging Bourbon. But somehow, they’re still family-owned. In fact, they are the only family-owned production house left in Kentucky.

Heaven Hill 27 Year Barrel Proof is a small-batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon that has been aged for almost three whole decades. The liquid was distilled between 1989 and 1990 before the Old Heaven Hills Springs Distillery was destroyed by fire in 1996. It clocks in at an unusually low barrel proof of 94.7. This is a rare release of some of the oldest barrels in Kentucky and only 2820 bottles came out of those pre-fire barrels. A pretty cool bottle to have on the shelf.
