Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre Bourbon

Coming from Hye, Texas, the Garrison Brothers Distillery is hell-bent on producing the State's very own Bourbon. One that can survive the scorching Texas Summers. So they found a cooperage willing to form custom barrels that would stand up to the Texas heat. All 130 degrees of it.

Laguna Madre is their limited-release straight Bourbon seasoned in rare Limousin oak casks and their oldest to date—after all, it took them 8 years to make. The highly sought-after and incredibly expensive French barrels, more commonly used for storing Cognac of the highest quality, amped up the vanilla flavors of the original almost-3-year-old Whiskey to 11 with a specific “vanilla” toast and toasted heads. After infusing for 5 years, the resulting Spirit is bursting with notes of white chocolate, vanilla bean, hazelnut, candy cacao, brown sugar, and mocha, with a creamy mouthfeel you won’t soon forget.
